Film school and university pricing

Frequently asked questions

What does the Academia plan include?

An Academia workspace is $429 a month, or $4,633.20 a year, for 5TB and 250 streaming hours. Staff and students are both unlimited and are never charged for.

What does an extra student cost?

Staff and students are unlimited and never charged for. Storage adds at $45 per TB and streaming at $0.60 an hour, independently of one another.

Do students keep their own work?

Yes. A student keeps ownership of what they make, with their own certificate on every file, and the department can still see the cohort line-up.

Can a film school license student work?

Only with the student opting in, per file. Account-level consent licenses nothing on its own, and an inclusion never moves a file out of its normal folder.
